Cool applications
The thing that makes Nokia N95 unique from other Smart Phones is that it comes pre-configured with the Accelerometer Motion Sensor (a feature initially kept hidden by Nokia). The special thing about the Accelerometer is its ability to make any device motion respondent on which it is run and it does exactly the same on Nokia N95.Developers have started work on Symbian applications that use the Accelerometer Motion Sensoring features through its public API but only a few cool known apps have emerged until now.S60Tips has compiled a very sweet list of all the Symbian S60 applications that use the Accelerometer. These applications need the Nokia N95 Accelerometer Plugin Package (N95AccelerometerPlugin.sis) to run on your Nokia N95 Phone. Here is a list of all these applications and games along with their download links:
1. NokMoteNokMote application will make your Nokia N95 to work just as a WiiMote which means that you will be able to select menu and choose options on your device through hand movements. The final version is due in late December and will be free to use and distribute.
2. RotateMeRotateMe is another application being developed by the creator of NokMote. It will allow you to switch between landscape and portrait screen modes using level sensors instead of manually choosing the mode through options (Just like the iPhone). As you tilt you phone, the modes will change automatically from landscape to portrait and vice versa.
3. Light SaberLightSaber is more like a fun application. Have a light-saber sound on your Nokia N95 just like Darth Vader in Star Wars. This produces sounds according to your phone movements.
4. InclinometerInclinometer is a cool little application will help you while you in your car. Keep it on the dashboard and it will tell you about the level of your car.
5. AccelerinvadersAccelerinvaders is a game developed using the Accelerometer API. Control your ship using hand movements and protect your ship from alien attack.feel free to ad a comment about other cool applications :o)

New firmware 20.0.015 - wau....
A Note on Firmware UpdatingPlease remember that a firmware update will delete all data from your C drive (internal memory). You should back up your data. You may also wish to perform a sync with your PC to ensure any data you entered on your phone is on your PC. We also recommend writing down key settings (e.g. your email account information). You may wish to take the firmware upgrade as an opportunity to reinstall your applications (via SIS file) and data (via Outlook or SyncML sync) manually. This is generally a 'cleaner' method than restoring a backup (e.g. you may have manually installed Nokia Search version 4 [as it would be included in a backup], but is integral to the new firmware). We recommend you make a backup regardless of which method you choose.Changes in the new firmwareNew Welcome applicationNew camera software and tweaks from the 8GB model - FAR faster shot to shot time, with 'Processing image message' during any delays. I suspect the image processing algorithms have changed too, to remove some of the remaining artificial edge enhancement in the v12 firmware.Long press on camera button launches camera if shutter is openNew My Nokia SMS tips and mobile web portal systemDemand paging (for ROM applications) with 30 plus MB free RAM after booting.Search 4.0 integration on standby screen.Old multimedia menu still there, i.e. it's not the new styleN-Gage game previews (FIFA, Asphalt) and portal/shortcut to upcoming N-Gage client, as in N81 and N95 8GBNokia Music Store client, although the store server hasn't been updated to handle the N95 yet - maybe this'll happen later todayKeypress bug gone(!), I thinkMusic player has a new visualisation and also remembers where you got to in a podcast, so you can pick it up again later onNo auto-screen rotation, looks like I was wrong predicting this, so we need Samir's RotateMe after all - someone please help him get this signed ASAP!Assorted other minor tweaks, along the same lines as the N95 8GB, with video ringtones and theme animations.Visit http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=91 for more info about this great gadget :o)
